Yes. The app is free. A PingBell account is required to hear your counters — free to start (one board, one screen), paid plans from $10/mo.
Do I need to be on a paid plan to receive notifications? +
Team members invited by a paid-plan account can receive notifications for free. The account owner pays; teammates just install.
Will the app drain my battery? +
No. Notifications are delivered via Apple Push Notification Service — the same infrastructure as every other app on your phone. The PingBell app itself uses no background CPU.
Can I quiet the notifications? +
Yes. Pause PingBell notifications on your device without stopping the counter, and your phone’s Focus / Do Not Disturb settings are always respected.
