Billing and plan changes
Everything you need to know about managing your PingBell subscription.
Where to manage your subscription
Open Settings in the web app — the Plan & billing card shows your plan and trial status. Click Manage billing to open the secure billing portal, where you can change plans, update your card, download invoices, and cancel. Payments are processed by Stripe.
The free plan and the 7-day head start
Every new account starts with 7 days of Plus — full designer, no watermark, unlimited screens — with no credit card. Nothing is charged and there is nothing to cancel.
When those days are up the account settles onto the free plan: one board on one screen, watermarked. Your boards, sources and history stay exactly as they are. Pick a paid plan whenever you want more boards, more screens, channels, team seats, or a clean screen — your existing screens light back up with no re-pairing.
One thing to know: switching plans from the billing portal during a trial starts the new plan — and its first charge — immediately. If you just want a different plan when your trial converts, wait until the trial ends, or email support@pingbell.io and we’ll set it up without cutting your trial short.
Upgrading (Core → Plus or Plus → Pro)
Upgrades take effect immediately, and you’re charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the current billing period. Your new features — the full board designer, channels, team seats — unlock right away.
Downgrading
Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep your current plan’s features until renewal, then drop to the lower tier. Unused time isn’t refunded.
Changing your card
Settings → Manage billing → Payment methods. Add the new card, set it as default, and optionally remove the old one.
Failed payments
If a renewal charge fails, Stripe retries automatically over the following days and emails you. If the payment can’t be collected, casting pauses — your screens show a “paused” notice and your boards and data stay safe. Update your card in the billing portal and everything comes back.
Invoices and receipts
Every charge generates a receipt sent to the email on your account. You can download any past invoice from Settings → Manage billing.
Cancellation
Cancel any time from Settings → Manage billing. You keep full access until the end of your paid period, and you can reactivate from the same place. Your boards, sources, and history are kept safe, so coming back is one click.
Nonprofit discount
10% off annual plans for registered nonprofits. Email support@pingbell.io with your tax ID or nonprofit status documentation and we’ll set it up.
