Activating browser notifications
Enable desktop alerts so PingBell events pop in Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge — even when the tab is in the background.
Step 1: Open a source
In the web app, open Sources and click the pencil icon on any source.
Step 2: Fire a preview
Click 🎉 Preview. Along with the confetti and sound, PingBell offers to enable desktop alerts — click Enable desktop alerts and allow the permission when your browser asks.
That’s it: previews and live sales now pop as desktop notifications even when the tab is off-screen.
If alerts are blocked
If you dismissed or denied the permission earlier, your browser remembers. Re-enable it from the browser’s site settings: click the icon next to the address bar on my.pingbell.io, find Notifications, and set it to Allow.
