Muting sounds on a screen

Silence the celebration sound on one screen without affecting any other screen — events keep counting.

How to mute

Every cast surface — a paired TV, a board or channel open in a browser tab, a public board link — shows a small sound chip in the bottom-left corner: 🔊 Sound on or 🔇 Sound off. Click or tap it to toggle. The choice sticks on that device.

The first time a board opens on a new device, it also asks up front: With sound or Muted. Pick whichever fits the room — a lobby TV usually wants sound, a screen next to a phone line usually doesn’t.

What muting does (and doesn’t)

Muting only silences the sound on that one screen. Every other paired screen keeps ringing, the counter keeps updating, and events keep being collected everywhere.

If you want a source to stop collecting events entirely — no counting, no celebrations, anywhere — see turning a source off.

No sound even though it’s unmuted?

Browsers require a tap before a page may play audio. If a screen shows Tap to enable sound, give it one tap — after that, every celebration plays normally.
